When I was working on Book Trailer 101 Second Edition, I reviewed all of the book trailers. Links needed to be updated, and some trailers no longer worked or had been pulled from YouTube. The highest compliment I can give a book trailer is that I loved it so much, I bought the book.
- An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth – Chris Hadfield (Loved the book)
- Blackbirds and Mockingbird – Chuck Wendig (Loved the book)
- Escape from Furnace Series – Alexander Gordon Smith (Loved the book)
- Frog Music – Emma Donoghue
- Gangsta Granny – David Walliams (Loved the book)
- Ghostman – Roger Hobbs
- Leviathan – Scott Westerfeld (Loved the series)
- Schrödinger’s Caterpillar – Zane Stumpo
- The Copper Tree – Hilary Robinson, Mandy Stanley (Loved the book)
- Where Good Ideas Come From – Steven Johnson
Most books lived up to their trailer. A few didn’t.

Recently I bought Gangsta Granny, a kid’s book. The trailer is a fav of mine. I even bought the anniversary edition, beautifully hard cover bound, printed in colour and even has a ribbon bookmark. A striking book. I loved the book and shed a few tears at the end. My wife would sit and read it out loud to our bulldog. The most amazing image is of the dog looking at the book as she read it.
David Walliams” bestselling book Gangsta Granny has gone FULL COLOUR in a brand-new anniversary edition. This beautiful new gift book is the perfect present for children of any age, and contains an introduction from David Walliams himself.
